CAMPGROUND RULES
📞 Campground Contact
The Campground Manager can be reached at (701) 305‑9590 between 7:00 AM and 10:00 PM.
Please note that managers may also have other part‑time or full‑time employment and will respond as soon as possible.

📅 Reservations, Payment & Check‑Out

All sites must be reserved online through our reservation system.

Guests arriving without a reservation must contact the Campground Manager to be directed to an available site and must submit payment before setting up.

Accepted forms of payment: Credit or Debit card only
(No cash or checks — U.S. or Canadian)
Check‑out time: 11:00 AM
🏷 Campsite Tags & Proof of Payment
All campers are required to display a valid campsite tag for the entire duration of their stay as proof of payment.

Campsite tags must be clearly visible to Park Board members and the Campground Manager at all times.

The tag must display the required reservation and site information.
Tent Campers:
Guests camping in the tent area must display their campsite tag in the window of their vehicle, clearly visible at all times.
Failure to properly display a campsite tag may be considered non‑payment and may result in additional fees or removal from the campground.
❌ Cancellations
Cancellations must be made according to the following guidelines:

Cancellations made more than 7 days prior to the scheduled arrival date will be charged a $10 cancellation fee.

Cancellations made 7 days or fewer before the arrival date will be charged one night’s rental fee.

No‑shows or reservations not canceled prior to the arrival date will not receive a refund.
All cancellation fees will be charged to the credit or debit card used at the time of reservation.
This policy helps ensure campsite availability for other guests. Thank you for your understanding.

🚦 Speed Limit & Parking

The speed limit throughout Riverside Park is 10 MPH.
This applies to all vehicles, including cars, trucks, golf carts, ATVs, and other recreational vehicles. -
Absolutely no parking on the grass.
All vehicles must remain on designated roadways or parking areas only.
🚙 Vehicles & Recreation

Recreational vehicles (ATVs, golf carts, etc.) must remain on roadways only, including within the tenting area.

All posted speed limits must be obeyed.

These vehicles are not permitted for recreational riding within city limits or the park.
They may be used only to enter or exit the city
🐾 Pets

Pets are welcome, but City leash laws apply at all times.

Pets must remain leashed or owners will be subject to fines.

Pet waste must be cleaned up immediately.
🔥 Campsite Property & Fire Safety

Picnic tables and fire pits must remain at their assigned sites.

Fire pits must not be removed.
-
Sites will be inspected upon departure.
A $100 fee will be charged for any missing fire pit. -
Firewood is available for purchase — see the phone number posted at the bathhouse.
⚡ Energy Conservation
Seasonal campers must turn off air conditioning when away from their camper for more than one day.
Failure to do so may result in additional fees.
🚱 Environmental & Safety Rules
🚫 ABSOLUTELY NO dumping of gray water or any waste into the river or elsewhere. This is illegal and charges will be filed.
🚫 No fireworks allowed in the park. Violators will be fined.
🚫 No archery permitted in the park.
🚫 No wild game remains allowed in the park or dumpsters.
🌪 Severe Weather
In the event of severe weather or a tornado:

Take shelter immediately in the bathhouse

The city‑wide tornado warning signal is one long, continuous siren
📅 Camping Season
The camping season runs from May 15 through September 30, weather and spring flooding conditions permitting.
📦 End‑of‑Season Property Removal
All personal property must be removed by season’s end.
Items left behind will be disposed of by the Walhalla Park District.
📝 Complaints & Requests
All complaints must be submitted in writing to the Walhalla Park Board and will be addressed at the next regularly scheduled meeting.

🏊 Pool Information
Construction of a new city pool is scheduled to begin in Summer 2026.
We apologize in advance for any inconvenience or construction‑related noise that may occur.
